Despite the heavy defeat, captain Nigar Sultana believes the team remains upbeat and has handled the hectic tournament schedule well.
“It’s a very hectic schedule, definitely, because we are not getting much time to adapt. But we had a very good session yesterday, so that looks good,” she said.
The skipper also revealed how the players have tried to maintain a positive atmosphere.
“During the journey by bus, I think we were having so much of fun, and we are trying to talk as much as positive. And, you know, we were singing in the bus, and we were talking about cricket, definitely.”
Bangladesh’s bowling attack has impressed in patches, but the batters will need to step up after the collapse against Australia. A victory over Pakistan would put them back on track in the race for the semifinals.
