With this win, India became the first team to win the T20 World Cup at home, the first team to win back-to-back titles (after 2024), and the first team to win the tournament three times (2007, 2024, 2026).On X, the Indian T20I captain shared a throwback photo from 2014 alongside a picture with the 2026 T20 World Cup trophy, writing, “So happy for this guy today.”Tilak Varma shared his excitement on Instagram after India won the 2026 T20 World Cup.
