Glenn Phillips produced another moment of brilliance in the Caribbean Premier League as his audacious one-handed catch sent Sunil Narine packing during Trinidad & Tobago Red Force’s chase against Guyana Amazon Warriors.Narine’s stay at the crease lasted only two deliveries before Dwaine Pretorius found his edge of sorts. The right-arm seamer bowled a short delivery, and Narine went hard at it, pulling the ball flat towards the leg side.What followed was the highlight of the dismissal.Stationed at deep square leg, Phillips immediately took off to his right as the ball flew towards him. For a moment, the New Zealander appeared to lose sight of it while tracking its trajectory.But Phillips quickly adjusted, hit the brakes and stretched out his right hand at precisely the right moment. He somehow managed to pluck the ball out of the air with one hand, completing a spectacular catch.Even Phillips appeared stunned by what he had just pulled off, breaking into a cheeky laugh as he stood in disbelief after completing the grab.Narine was dismissed for just one run off two balls, leaving TKR in further trouble during their chase.The dismissal came in a match that was heavily disrupted by rain after Guyana Amazon Warriors lost two wickets in the powerplay. Following a delay of more than 90 minutes, Shimron Hetmyer took control of the innings with a remarkable hundred.The left-hander smashed his second CPL century from just 40 balls, combining clean hitting with calculated strokeplay to propel Guyana to 185/5 from their 16 overs. Romario Shepherd also chipped in with a cameo.Trinidad & Tobago Knight Riders were set a revised DLS target of 182 and needed to maintain a rapid scoring rate from the outset. Colin Munro provided early momentum with a few boundaries, but Narine’s dismissal for one added to the pressure.Nicholas Pooran responded with an aggressive assault, helping TKR bring up 50 in the fifth over. However, Mohammad Nabi then changed the contest by claiming three quick wickets, including the crucial dismissal of Pooran.When Imran Tahir trapped Justin Greaves lbw, TKR had slipped to 68/5 in the eighth over.Alex Hales and Akeal Hosein attempted to revive the chase with a 43-run stand for the sixth wicket. Hales eventually brought up his first fifty of the season from only 23 balls, while Joshua Da Silva added three boundaries late in the innings.Their efforts reduced the eventual margin, but Guyana Amazon Warriors remained in control and secured a nine-run victory.
